😎 With the weather starting to get a little toasty, it’s really important that we keep our pets cool! This is especially vital for overnight, senior and/or brachycephalic dogs (squished nose dogs) that can quickly overheat.

❄️ Some helpful tips to help our furry friends stay cool include:

➡️ Making sure they always have access to shady areas in the garden and always have plenty of water (preferably with ice cubes!)
➡️ Top up a paddling pool or get out the sprinklers. Have some fun with the hose!
➡️ Leave air con/fans on and a window open.
➡️ Provide cooling mats or vests which can be found at some pet stores.
➡️ Take them down to the local dog beach or river to cool off.
➡️ Freeze ice cubes filled with dog treats like dog friendly fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, jerky or liver treats.
